A native of Oak Grove, Richard graduated from Louisiana College with a degree in accounting and a minor in music in 1981. Immediately upon graduation he began a tenure as bi-vocational minister of music at Baskin Baptist Church that lasted for 22 years. Richard with his wife, Lee, and son, Tyler, joined NMBC in March of 2005 while Richard was part of the New Liberty Quartet and since then has taken an active part in the traditional service at NMBC as time would allow. Shortly after resigning from the quartet in December of 2007 he began serving as interim music minister at First Baptist Delhi which has continued until now. Richard is employed as controller by Data Cell Systems, Inc., a construction company based in Winnsboro.
